It was designed to serve 3 glass furnaces: one for laminated glass, one for glass bottles and one for container glass. Starting with 1990, when the production on the last 2 furnaces was stopped, the chimney has use the natural draught to evacuate the fume from a single furnace, the laminated glass one. On the overhauling in 2010 it was repaired and reinforced together with the breech, ensuring at least two more production sessions.
